almost Christmas

It is almost Christmas....December 22....and it is 76 degrees outside here in the middle of South Carolina.

another sad day

Sometimes I stop and wonder how I will exit this world.

Last night I got "the call" that one of my Florence SC chapter brothers was killed in an accident at 7:15 pm 12/7/2011.

Jody was on his bike, on his way home from work, when he ran into the rear end of a logging truck that
was broke down in the middle of the road. The truck was not using any flashers. The long skid marks indicate he tried to stop, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tremendously emotional time right now.

something I have noticed

How many folks have noticed that you don't see too many pick up trucks with gun racks sporting rifles in the back windows anymore?

Down here in the southeast I grew up seeing that EVERYWHERE.
Unattended trucks in parking lots with the guns in the racks. No worries.
All sorts of places....redneck trucks with gun racks, and guns......
gone......
What's up with that?

beautiful day

It is a fairly warm day here in South Carolina.
Last night I rode the "bagger" home from work with short sleeves on, no jacket.
A rarity this time of year.
Today I rode the "bagger" to the shop and dropped it off to have a new front tire installed.
I wore it out on the Florida run.

Still have not gotten around to digging out the camera
and uploading pictures from the run. Just feeling blah over the loss of a
club brother. We are on tap to go back down in December to celebrate
his life. Then at the end of the night, his vest with his club patch is burned.

Leaving for work now, more later.

After the hard ride home from Coca Beach Florida yesterday, I wake up this morning to find a message on my phone from down south. One of my club brothers from the Lake County chapter was killed in a wreck Sunday afternoon. He was passing two cars when one of them made a left turn. He and the girl with him were killed.

Kind of dampens things.

Home at last

I just got home from Cocoa Beach FLorida.
It was like a five hundred plus mile seven Harley's drag race to get here.
My brothers and I are all safe.
Pictures soon....550 miles on a Harley at average 90mph is exhausting....
now gotta get up in the morning and go to work.

Florida Bound

Rolling out to Florida for the Biker Bash in the morning.
It is predicted to be 35 degrees when we pull out on the bikes.

The only real question is.....which one shall I ride?

Soooooo.....I asked the wife and she said the bagger....

Gonna be riding eight hours down to help raise money for 

"Big brothers and Big sisters" 

The weather down in Cocoa Beach is predicted to be nice this weekend.

Getting there is gonna be like cold as hell across Carolina.

Maybe I will take some pictures.

The weekend

I looked forward to this weekend. Saturday we rode in a pack to our Lee County clubhouse. Always a sight having a pack of twelve Harley's  rolling down the interstate doing our thing.

Had a good old time hanging out with the brothers. Then I got the phone call that I needed to show up to work today....er...Sunday????

New equipment installation, engineers and customer needed me to be there to make damn sure come Monday morning the system would run.....so much for sleeping late.

Now, just finished watching all of season one of the "Walking Dead" on Netflix. (yeah sure they come back to life) Funny thing is that since I have gotten into the "prepper frame of mind",and then finally THE WIFE saw the wisdom in it....we watch zombie movies and tv shows. What kind of damn sense does that make. (Actually I spend more time with my hands covering my eyes asking the wife if the gross stuff is over yet)

A real BIG SHOUT OUT to the Mohave Rat....Who I admire reading very much.

i just finished reading Rawles new book "Survivors".......hmmmmmmm....I dunno. I suppose, maybe.....

crazy people

I gotta say, after reading more and more of this "occupy" movement.....I am more and more convinced that those people are a bunch of DUMBASSES......

I have come to the conclusion that being a mutant zombie biker might not be so bad after all.....

Just a little bit....

The Warlock....simply means that I am a member of the Warlocks Motorcycle Club, and Sundance is a name I have been called since I was about thirteen years old. (gosh....am I one of them mutant zombie bikers I read so much about?)

I just turned 49 a week ago....some will still call me youngster...my bones rattle in debate.

I love Harley's, currently own and ride three of them....been riding more than thirty years now.

I own a couple of small businesses, one in which I service CNC sheet metal fabrication machinery, to include turret punch presses, laser cutting systems, shears, press brakes. My other business is custom embroidery, sewing, antique sewing machine restoration. Because of this tepid economy, I have taken on a full time job in order to keep the bills paid and for the health insurance.

I have three daughters ranging in age from 18 to 9, two sons, one 25 the other 23....seven grandkids.

Will get around to espousing more more of what it is to be me....soon.....hoping those who have thus joined will stay on board after digesting the biker zombie part.

(and to those who have hit the follow button....I always look forward to reading about your days...I learn a lot from you guys)
